Department Functions & Services

The Payroll Department is responsible for reviewing all payroll changes, pay raises, insurance for new hires, status changes, deduction changes for the Credit Union, United Way etc., and direct deposit.

A typical Payroll Week consists of:
  1.
Reviewing all time sheets, including matching up employee leave request forms to time sheets
  2.
Matching hours to the phrhour (hour) report
  3.
Reviewing the phracct (account) report to check charge out accounts to departments
  4.
Running reports to balance the payroll
  5.
Running checks
  6.
Running Direct Deposit checks
  7.
Running vouchers for all taxes and other deductions

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I get paid?
  Employees are paid every two weeks on Friday. County Commissioners are paid once a month on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
When are disability employees paid?
  Disability employees are paid every two weeks on the Thursday opposite the week of payroll.
What is my hourly rate?
