How much is my fine?

Do you accept personal or business checks?
  No, we only accept credit/debit cards, money orders, cashier's checks, or certified checks for your fines. We do accept cash, If paying in person.
Who do I make the Money Order payable to?
  Make your money order payable to: St. Lucie County, Clerk of Court
Where do I mail my payment?
  You may mail your payment to:

Do you accept credit cards?
  There is a 3.5% service charge to use a credit card or debit card in person or by phone. If you pay online with a credit or debit card within 90 days of the issue date, there is also a 3.5% service charge.

PLEASE NOTE: You can not pay online after 90 days.
When is my fine payment due?
  The Clerk of Courts must receive your payment within thirty (30) consecutive days of your violation date. You may also elect to attend driver improvement school (if eligible) or request a court hearing within thirty (30) consecutive days of the violation date.
What if I can't find my ticket online?
  Some citations are not payable online, therefore you must contact the Clerk of Court by phone at 871-7200 or in person at 250 N.W. Country Club Drive, RM# 115, Port St Lucie, FL 34986.  We also have an office at 201 S. Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. Payments online are only available if you are within 90 consecutive days of your violation date. Please note you have 30 consecutive days from the date of your violation to take action on your citation, after 30 days there are additional fees and possible suspension.
May I make installment payments against my fine?
  No, you may not make installment payments.
How many points are on my driver's license record?
  Contact the Division of Driver Licenses, or contact the Courthouse for a 3-year printout of your record. There is a fee for the printout.
Can I receive an extension of time to pay my fine?
  No, St. Lucie County does NOT offer any extensions.
Where can I find a traffic school ?
  The Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles website has a list of Driving and Education Course Schools in Florida.
Who can I contact regarding vehicle registrations?
  The St. Lucie County Tax Collectors office.
What is the number for the Driver Improvement School?
 

If Eligible you may attend any Driver Improvement School. Check your local phone book directory for listings in your area. Please be sure to follow the instructions on the Driver Improvement School Affidavit.

Please Note:  A CDL (Commercial Drivers License) holder may not elect school on any citation.

 

Please Note:  Any driver charged with exceeding the speed limit of 30 M.P.H. or more. May NOT elect traffic school and there is a mandatory court appearance.
